About Xiangqi

Chinese Chess board game against a computer opponent. To win you need to capture the general of your opponent.

How to Play

Move your pieces according to their specific movement rules. The King can only travel one square at a time within the palace. Mandarins are limited to diagonal moves within the palace. Bishops move exactly two squares diagonally and cannot move to the opponent's side. Horses move one square straight and then one square diagonally, unless obstructed by adjacent pieces. Rooks move any number of squares straight, making them powerful attackers. Catapults move like chariots but must require a screen piece to capture exactly one piece. Pawns move forward one square and attack sideways after crossing the river. Capture the opponent's general to win the game. Strategize your moves carefully to defeat the computer opponent.
